Daprato Rigali had the great privilege of working with the St. Agnes of Bohemia Catholic Community on Chicago’s South side in bringing new life to their worship space. We began the process with a full-color hand-drawn rendering of the proposed changes. We then worked with the Church to develop and implement a fundraising plan which was immensely successful and generated great support and enthusiasm within the Parish.
The scope of the renovation grew to include a complete interior decorative paint scheme, cleaning and conservation of existing murals and marble, new furnishings were fabricated in our studio for the sanctuary. We designed and developed a multitude of stencils to accent different parts of the church, applied gold leaf to much of the decorative plaster ornament and marbleized the columns in a red and pink marble simulation.
Daprato Rigali wants to give a special thanks to Father Matt Foley for his graciousness to all those he encounters, and for his service in the United States Army in Afghanistan. An article about this amazing community and Catholic leader can be found here.
